Description

Departing from Albufeira, get picked up from your hotel (or another convenient, close place) and enjoy the views as you drive towards Silves, one of the oldest cities in the Algarve. In Silves, visit the oldest cathedral in Algarve as well as its largest castle. 

Stop at Monchique, the tallest mountain in Algarve. Immerse yourself in the lush natural surroundings. Go to the top to see amazing views from the highest point in Algarve. Stop at a local restaurant for a nice lunch on the way down. 

In the afternoon, you will be taken to Lagos, another important city in Algarve. Admire the inside of the golden church of Santo António, and go to a 15th-century slave market, the old town, and the fortress. 

Finally, stop in Sagres, popularly known as "the end of the world", as it is the most southwestern point in continental Europe. Let the splendid views of the coast, beautiful rock formations, and the great lighthouse take your breath away. After your last stop in Sagres, return to Albufeira.

Get lost in the beauty of eastern Algarve on this our from Albufeira to the charming towns of Faro, Olhão, Tavira, and Vila Real de Santo António. See old architecture at churches and a castle. Explore with some free time in Olhão and Vila Real de Santo Antonio. 

Get picked-up from your accommodation and sit back and enjoy the scenery on the drive to the town of Faro. Take in the colourful boats at the marina and the Gothic architecture at the cathedral. Have some time to do some souvenir shopping before heading to Olhão. 

Admire the white houses and churches in the Moorish fishing village of Olhão. Stop at the port and enjoy the vibrancy of the largest fish market on the island. Head to the oldest pâté factory in Portugal. 

Afterwards, travel to the town of Vila Real de Santo Antonio which lies on the mouth of the Guadiana river. Visit the oldest Portuguese canned fish factory. Spend some free time where you can go get some lunch or do some shopping at local boutiques. 

Continue on to the town of Tavira which has been settled since the late Bronze Age. Discover a variety of architectural styles at its churches and a medieval castle positioned over the Gilão river.
